Tim Williams, Program Manager

Tim Williams, has more than 20 years of experience in a leadership position in a technical capacity. These positions, includes controlling a Satellite Communications Facility, Automated Switching Center, Communications Computer Center and currently NCOIC of the Dobbins AFB NCC (Network Control Center).
Mr. Williams has held various Engineering positions with several Fortune 500 Companies. As a Sr. Engineer working with BellSouth Mobility, he was responsible for the design and optimization of the Cellular Network in which he successfully led the integration of the Atlanta Market from an Analog based system to a totally digital network. While working for Teligent Inc. as the Sr. Regional Engineer he successfully managed a Fixed Wireless Network in which he was able to completely design the Florida Network from the ground floor and turn into fully operational and functional Network serving its customers. While working for Alcoa Network Services, Mr. Williams held the positions of Engineering Department Manager and Sr. Project Manager. These duties included leading a department of Engineers that provided the design specifications for BellSouth Telecommunications' Transport and Backhaul Equipment as well as the DC Power Plants. As a Sr Project Manager, he ensured that all projects were completed in a timely manner as well as managing the overall Engineering budget and capital expenditures and managing the other Project Managers. Mr. Williams has over 8 years experience in Construction Management of Towers which includes Co-locates for different carriers as well as Raw-land/New Construction build-out of towers throughout the country. This experience includes managing the entire project from civil construction as well as the antenna and lines work. He has been directly responsible for the build-out of approximately 300 sites.
Mr. Williams earned Associates Degrees in Computer Information Systems and Electronic Engineering Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. He also earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering Technology and Computer Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic University 1993 and a MBA with a concentration in finance from Mercer University in 2000.
