Wireless Engineering

McNeal caters to Cellular and PCS carriers to help maximize the potential of their networks.McNeal works efficiently and effectively to meet our clients’ objectives. Our engineers are highly experienced and have received higher degrees of education from accredited universities throughout the US or abroad. Our engineers rapidly adapt to new technologies in the wireless industry. Our wireless solutions provide our clients with a great competitive edge by increasing efficiency and effectiveness while streamlining operations and reducing operational costs.

Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering

  • System Performance: McNeal Wireless has performed integration testing, data collection, functionality testing, capacity testing, new site coverage verification, BSC re-homing, competitive benchmarking and site/cluster integration. These assignments were accomplished for LTE, GSM, CDMA, EVDO, UMTS, iDEN and TDMA networks.McNeal Wireless has performed these specific tasks for companies such as Verizon Wireless, Nextel, Sprint, Motorola and AT&T.

  • Model Tuning: We have performed four major turnkey model tuning projects encompassed in the Mid - Atlantic States and in the South East. These projects encompassed more than 400 sites in total. McNeal Wireless has performed these specific tasks for companies such as SouthernLinc, Nextel, T-mobile and AT&T.

  • RF Design: In this capacity we have maintained a continuum of clients that require engineers for coverage expansion and capacity enhancement. We have continued to deploy radio frequency engineers on various projects throughout the US for all major wireless corporations; to conduct propagation modeling, calibration, FAA/FCC filings and other aspects of radio frequency analysis. McNeal Wireless has performed these specific tasks for companies such as Verizon Wireless, Nextel, Sprint, InCode Wireless, SouthernLinc and AT&T.

  • Site Surveys: Wireless site surveys and cellular tower surveys can be complex and involve multiple sites. McNeal, provides consistent, detailed wireless site surveys and cellular tower surveys to our customers. We have completed wireless site surveys and cellular tower surveys for nearly all of the major wireless companies.

  • Cell Site Installation: McNeal provides for all your cellular and broadcast tower needs. From cellular tower construction and cellular tower site installation to cellular tower maintenance, inspection and service. McNeal also offers broadcast tower maintenance and broadcast tower installation.

  • Optimization:

  • Data Collection: Our Network Optimization service includes the assessment of problem coverage areas by driving "clusters" of several cell sites. The number of site clusters is usually six-twelve but can be customized based on the carrier's needs. The optimization analysis includes ensuring proper functionality of each site in the cluster, as well as successful handoffs between sites while locating coverage holes in the clusters. Once the data is collected, an RF Engineer performs the analysis, makes the appropriate adjustments to the network design, and the site is revisited for post-design analysis and verification of improvements. The RF engineer's recommendations for improvement could include antenna down tilts, site power levels, and CDMA parameter adjustments.

  • Fault Isolation & Correction Verification: During our network optimization service, field technicians can communicate with RF engineers while in the field to make immediate network changes based on their findings from the coverage assessment. Once the data is collected, field technicians call the RF Engineer, or appropriate personnel to discuss problems they find while driving and the RF engineers make the changes as they find them. During fault isolation and correction, field technicians drive the cluster and review data from their in vehicle optimization equipment when coverage problems are found. McNeal has the experienced field technicians and RF engineers to deliver immediate improvements to your network resulting in immediate improved performance and operational efficiency.

  • Circuit Testing: We provide engineering professionals that have experience in configuring MSC Trunking and configuring DSO/T1s to allow maximum transmission/bandwith for voice and data applications.

  • Continuous Wave Testing: Our organization has conducted over 1000 transmitter tests for all of the top four wireless companies in the United States since being founded in 2001(we maintain an accuracy rating of approximately 90% and guarantee the results).

  • Network Drive Testing: Our investment in various measurement and collection tools combined with our fleet of ten dedicated test vehicles. Allows us to quickly achieve measurable results and handle the demands that drive our industry today. We support all technologies and project scopes ranging from: E9111 Compliance testing to Wi-Max Cluster Optimization.

  • Site Acquisition & Construction: In strategy it is important to see distant things as if they were close and to take a distanced view of close things. The wireless industry moves faster than the speed of light. That's why McNeal places great emphasis on strategic planning. It is an important management tool and we consider it critical to the success of our company. Strategy is the science of identifying the best possible path to achieve objectives. And these are just a few of the strategic management practices McNeal uses to achieve our clients' goals:

    • Just-In-Time Resourcing

    • Grass Roots Zoning

    • Management by Objectives

    • Value Engineering

    • Knowledge Management

  • Together these five ingredients are the keys to our success. They don't just make McNeal different; they make us better
